Study Permit Extensions
There is an expiration of the study permit in Canada. By the expiration of the study permit in Canada means that the student has to stop their studies and must leave Canada. Basically, the expiry date is the date of the student’s study period along with 90 extra days. These extra 90 days are provided for the preparation of leaving Canada or to apply for their extension of stay in Canada.
Who Can Apply?
Students are supposed to apply for their extension 30 days prior to the expiration of their study permit. Ensure that their passport is not expired at the same time. If the passport is found out to be expired/expiring soon then they must renew their passport.
